A web design project, that focused on a more brand appropriate feel that kept things simple and friendly while keeping the customer experience in mind. The customer base of BREW has three main consumers; students from the local college, local families, and business professionals.

Why BREW?

They are a locally owned and operated coffee shop that sources as many food and beverage items from other local companies as they can. BREW Coffee Bar supports their community and I wanted to help them so they could continue to be an impactful business in their local community.

Who is BREW Coffee Bar?

A locally owned and operated specialty coffee shop in the West Toledo/University of Toledo area. Serving locally roasted coffee from Zingerman’s Coffee along with local made-from-scratch pastries and desserts from 7 Little Cupcakes, Vegan Taste, and So Sweet Lebanese & French Pastries; and food items from Barry’s Bagels, and Tiger Bakery.

   - Prefers pourover coffee 

   - Place to get work done

   - Female 48-55   

   - Comes in with friends on weekends

UX Reasoning

Using a warm color palette that also represents the industrial interior at BREW Coffee Bar, while using illustrations to convey a more friendly feel. Limiting the number of tabs as well as seperating the tabs within the navigation bar simplified the number of actions the user could take. Adding the hours and that Rocketcards are accepted on the home page eliminates the user having to search for them. The "Menu" tab offers the extensive list of items Brew offers along with new creations that stem from staff creations as well as seasonal favorites.
